The M-DRO summing interface is a plug in unit that will combine the output of two M-DRO encoders into a single output for the M-DRO display consoles. Applications include combine mill quill with knee travel or lathe compound travel with main carriage travel. |
Compatible with 1, 5, 10 and 25 micron resolution quadrature encoders. Please note both encoders connected must be the same resolution.
Adaptor cables can be used to convert existing readout equipment from other DRO manufacturers to be compatible with the summing interface. For example a mill fitted with a Acu-rite encoder on the knee could connect to the summing interface via a suitable adaptor cable, an M-DRO encoder code be fitted to the quill. The output of the two encoders would connect to the summing interface, the output from the interface can then be connected directly to a M-DRO console or through a suitable adaptor to the existing Acu-rite encoder.
The interface does not require an external power supply.
